Sierra Wickline
Former Graduate Researcher, 2023-2026
Working in the HEAL Lab has shaped my technical training and influenced the trajectory of my career, while giving me the skills and experiences to communicate across fields. The lab’s interdisciplinary and team science framework fosters collaboration between mentors, coordinators, and interns. I’m grateful to be part of work that has true significance beyond the lab and in the lives of those we serve.
Sierra earned her Master’s degree from the University of North Florida in 2026 and graduated from Baylor University in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology. Her research focuses on understanding unique forms of grief across various populations and developing interventions to address the mental, physical, and spiritual effects of grief. Her master’s thesis utilized data from the Health and Retirement Study to assess how adverse childhood experiences may affect the later-life health of widowed individuals.
After earning her master’s degree and leaving the HEAL Lab, Sierra went on to pursue doctoral studies at the University of South Florida.
